Planters and raised beds are bulky goods, so they travel on a pallet or a two-person service rather than a standard parcel round. The carrier will contact you to arrange a slot. Delivery is made to the kerbside or the nearest safe hard-standing point, not into the garden or through the house, so please make sure there is clear vehicle access and that someone is available to help move the item the last few metres. Re-coat with an exterior wood oil or stain every two to three years if you would rather keep a darker, freshly finished tone; left alone, the natural timber weathers to a soft silver-grey over a season or two. Do not seal the open base, as free drainage is what keeps the timber sound. There is fuller guidance on our timber care page.

If something is wrong with it

Please check the planter over as soon as it arrives. You will never be asked to pay carriage on an item that is not as it should be. Within 30 days of delivery you have the short-term right to reject faulty goods for a full refund, and up to six months you can ask for a repair or replacement. Variation in grain, colour and knot pattern, and small surface cracks, resin bleed or greying as the wood seasons, are normal characteristics of natural timber rather than faults.
