Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of simplywooduk.com and any order you place with us. Please read them before ordering. By placing an order you agree to them.

This site is operated by Abloom Limited, trading as Simply Wood.
Registered in England and Wales, company number 05469001.
Registered office: 98 Middlecroft Drive, Strensall, York, North Yorkshire, YO32 5YQ.

2. How a contract is formed

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Our order acknowledgement email confirms we have received it but does not form a contract. A contract comes into existence only when we send you a dispatch confirmation. If we cannot accept your order — for example the item is out of stock, we cannot deliver to your address, or there has been a pricing error — we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

3. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.
  • Delivery charges are additional and are shown in full at checkout before you pay.
  • We take payment when your order is placed.
  • Obvious pricing errors are not binding. If an item's correct price is higher than the price shown, we will contact you before dispatch and you may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

4. Products

We describe and photograph our products as accurately as we can. Because they are made from natural timber, grain, colour, knot pattern and dimensions vary between pieces, and images are illustrative. Minor variation is a feature of the material rather than a defect. Dimensions given are nominal and subject to normal manufacturing tolerance.

5. Delivery

Delivery charges, timescales and areas are set out in our Delivery Information, which forms part of these terms. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes when we have received payment in full.

6. Cancellation, returns and refunds

Your right to cancel, the return process and refund timescales are set out in our Returns & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary: consumers have 14 days from delivery to cancel most orders, a further 14 days to return the goods, and we refund within 14 days of receiving them back. Bespoke and made-to-measure items are exempt from the cancellation right.

7. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer. Goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where these terms conflict with your statutory rights, your statutory rights prevail.

8. Using this website

  • You may use this site for lawful purposes only.
  • You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce malicious code, or place fraudulent orders.
  • All content on this site — text, photographs, logos and designs — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced commercially without permission.
  • We may suspend or withdraw the site temporarily for maintenance or other business reasons.

9. Accounts

If you create an account, keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used it. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently.

10. Our liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable.

We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where you buy as a business, our total liability is limited to the price paid for the goods and we are not liable for loss of profit, business or goodwill.

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, but we will let you know and you may cancel and receive a refund if the delay is substantial.

11. Complaints and dispute resolution

Please contact us first at support@simplywooduk.com or on 0800 118 5141 and we will do our best to resolve matters. If we cannot, you can seek free advice from the Citizens Advice consumer service on 0808 223 1133.

12. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
