Simply Wood Rectangular Wooden Trough Planter 100cm - Pressure-Treated Solid Timber Garden Trough, Natural

This long trough planter is made to sit tight against a wall, fence or patio edge where a square box would take up too much ground. It is cut from solid pressure-treated softwood in our Wheldrake workshop near York.

The trough runs 100 cm end to end, 30 cm front to back and 35 cm tall, taking about 85 litres of compost. A central divider batten stiffens the long sides so the boards stay straight rather than bowing outward once the soil is wet.

A permeable liner is fitted before dispatch, and the open slatted base lets surplus water drain straight through. Short feet at each corner keep the bottom rail clear of paving so the timber dries between showers.

Supplied fully assembled. It works well for a run of lavender, a row of salad crops or a low evergreen screen along a boundary. Plants and compost are not included.
