A compact round planter in the style of a cut barrel, sized for a doorstep, a balcony or a pair either side of a gate. Built in our Wheldrake workshop near York.

It measures 40 cm across and stands 35 cm tall, taking roughly 35 litres of compost. Sixteen shaped staves form the drum and are drawn together by two banding rails.

Staves are 19 mm solid softwood, pressure treated against rot and fixed with countersunk stainless steel screws. A permeable liner is fitted and the base drains freely.

Supplied fully assembled and weighing 11 kg. Suits bedding, spring bulbs, a small evergreen or a standard bay. Plants and compost are not included.

Specification: material pressure-treated softwood (redwood pine); diameter 40 cm; overall height 35 cm; stave thickness 19 mm; soil capacity approximately 35 litres; weight 11 kg; colour natural timber; fixings countersunk stainless steel screws; liner permeable membrane, pre-fitted; assembly none required.
