A waist-height planter on legs, built so herbs and salad leaves can be tended without kneeling. Made to order in our Wheldrake workshop near York.

The tray measures 80 cm by 40 cm and is 20 cm deep, holding around 60 litres of compost. The rim sits 80 cm from the ground, a comfortable working height for most adults.

Timber is 19 mm solid softwood, pressure treated and fixed with countersunk stainless steel screws. A permeable liner is pre-fitted and a slatted lower shelf holds tools.

Supplied fully assembled and weighing 24 kg. Suits basil, parsley, thyme, chives, or cut-and-come-again salad. Plants and compost are not included.
